How about those volunteers? Awesome. Can you believe how those crazy riders cranked out all those miles? Amazing. Thank you and Congratulations!
This year we added the 200k option, reworked the route in some major ways, grew the event by more than 200%, and you all made it shine. The riders completed a combined 25,000+ miles — or the equivalent of more than one trip around the world! All in a single day. Thanks for all the kudos on Facebook, email and such- it really inspires us to keep making this great event even better. Yes, we do have a list of improvements already. And we look forward to having you join us next year!
Make sure to mark June 30, 2012 for next year!

All riders should have received an email from us with the latest link to the Participant Guide and all the other goodies like cue sheets, maps, etc. Make sure to check it out before the ride (now would be a good time).

We started at 6am for a dry run of the course. It is a fast, rolling ride with many great two lane back roads and scenic views. The Chesapeake watershed farm lands form an amazing back drop to pass the miles quickly. It took us about six hours unsupported on a cool morning that warmed up as we finished. Can't wait for June 25th. Thanks to Chad, Marc and Paul for getting out and riding the 200k course today!

Today is the last day to register for this year’s event. Make to sure to register by midnight if you want to ride on June 25th.

We’ve posted the latest route information, map and overview. Check it out. GPS files and cue sheets coming soon. Check point times and the cut off schedule has also been updated.

Don’t wait too long! We’re a month out from clipping in and the event is over 90% SOLD OUT! So sign up now while there is still space available. The ride date is June 25, 2011. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We’ve set up a discussion board on our Facebook page to facilitate training groups. If you have a ride/group or are looking for one go ahead and post it there to join our “friends”! Happy training- stay safe and ride strong.

The new “pro look” 2011 bike jersey design is ready for purchase from our gear shop. However, if you plan to register for the event and have not done so already, you can purchase your jersey at the same time in the registration process. Sizing information will be available soon in both of those areas. A big thanks goes out to Tim Cripps for another amazing design- one of a few options that made it hard to choose.

Early registration is good through February 14, so treat yourself now to some bike love. All 200 miles (or 200k) worth of fun. Prices are about to increase so now is your best chance. Early registration price is $99 ($79 for the 200k) versus $129 ($99 for the 200k) after February 14, 2011.

We’re happy to annouce our donation to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation for $5,450. We met with Will Baker, President of the organization, at the Philip Merrill Environmental Center, their amazing headquarters in Annapolis, MD. In design, construction, and operation, the building reflects their mission to protect and restore the Bay.

We're looking for videos some of you may have taken during the ride. If you have some footage and you want to share it please let us know. Use the contact form. Thanks!

We received a bunch of great feedback from our survey and we really appreciate it.
